Water and power credit bought from a phone
The problem
Prepaid water and power meters need credit before they work. The client wanted customers to buy that credit with mobile money from their own phones, instead of at a vending point.
What we built
We built the consumer purchase flow and the backend behind it. A customer picks a meter, pays with mobile money and receives a token that loads credit onto a smart meter, and the backend reconciles each payment with the token it issued. We ran it in production for years and kept handling incidents and changes through the handover.
